New Release on Friday

The is just a heads-up that Too Many Fish in the Sea (The Justice Thalia Stories #5) will drop on Friday, July 14th.

The short stories were meant to answer some of the questions readers have been asking about the Justice Universe over the years. Thalia's last story will be a a full-length novel, Blood Tides. It concerns the Peaceful Sea Pirate Wars, on of the few times during the Demon Wars when human openly battled other humans.

In the meantime, Too Many Fish in the Sea will hopefully satisfy readers' appetites while I work on the next Justice novels.

BLURB
Marriage can be sticky, but how is a justice to rule when three men claim they have contracted to marry the same woman? A woman who claims to know nothing about these three men. And according to truthspells, neither the potential grooms nor the defendant are lying.

Back to Writing Again

After five days of transferring files to my new laptop, I have everything I need to get back to writing. There were more than a few hiccups along the way, and there's still some apps I need to install. However, the only things left are my entertainment files, music, movies, books, etc.

But the big thing is finishing the three short stories I meant to complete last week before the old laptop started acting up. For those who have been checking on a daily basis, I haven't set up the preorder for Too Many Fish in the Sea (Justice Thalia #5) since I have not finished it yet.

Spells and Sleuths, the first of the rewritten Millersburg Magick Mysteries, is done, but it won't be released to the general public until the Kickstarter backers get their copies. And that won't be until I finish Analyze Me and Demons Run at Halloween. It's easier, and fewer headaches for both me and the backers, to send out everything at the same time.

And I do have a hard deadline to get everything finished. I considered retreating to one of our local Starbucks (yes, the second independent store has opened in our town) in the mornings. However, smoke from the Canadian wildfires has flooded the area again, which makes going outdoors darn uncomfortable.

*sigh* Just when I start to feel comfortable going out in public again...

Are Things Finally Back to Normal?

With much relief, I sent Death in Double Mocha to my formatter around five a.m. this morning. Now that I'm awake and had some caffeine, I'll get some breakfast and turn back to Queer Eye for the Super Guy.

There's a sense of satisfaction in completing a project, which helps me mood. Plus, DH has two lacrosse games tonight (he is the timekeeper for the city's high school teams, so I have a few hours of quiet time. And I love writing Jeremy!

Plus, there's the stretch goal short stories to finish for the Soccer Moms of the Apocalypse Kickstarter campaign.

But I'm definitely ready to move on to a project that's not related to the fucking pandemic or last year's familial loss. While the next one will be a Justice Thalia story, it's too short to publish a snippet on the blog.

So there's either something from the Books of Apep or the sooper sekrit project I've been doodling with as a palate cleanser to post here. (I never thought I'd write paranormal women's fiction, but there you go.)

Or I might set up a Patreon for the sooper sekrit project.

I do plan to set up an online store at some point this year. Elaina Lee designed some cute Soccer Moms t-shirts for me.

Yeah, I think things are finally getting back to normal at Angry Sheep Publishing. And for that, I'm very grateful.

Release Day - A Granddaughter of Mine

A Granddaughter of Mine is the latest Justice Thalia story, and it's available today!

This story fills in some gaps around Anthea's birth, how Gerd discovered the identity of her own birth mother, and that the renegades' activities have been going on longer than the Temples suspect.

BLURB
Thalia of Orrin. Upholder of the Queen's Peace. Friend of the Downtrodden. The Breaker of Pirates.

Two generations before the End of the Demon Wars, before there was Thalia the Legend, there was a young justice with a wicked sense of humor, a zest for life, and a duty to her people. These are her cases.

When her granddaughter is born touched by Balance, Thalia blames her own sins for the babe’s blindness. But someone else has plans for the child, and it’s up to Thalia to stop them.

Release Day!

Despite her exuberant nature and outgoing personality, Justice Thalia is still a bit of a mystery to me. Unlike her granddaughter, she doles out her background in tiny chunks.

The latest bite-size fun bar is available today. The Sweetest Poison dropped at Amazon in the wee hours of the morning for $0.99. I'll post links to the other retailers as they go live.

Enjoy!

New Release!

"Snowfall" started life as my 2018 submission to Sword & Sorceress. I'd just found out I had breast cancer, and I really couldn't think of anything . So I went back to the Justice universe and wrote a little story about Thalia, Anthea's maternal grandmother.

The editor Elisabeth Waters ultimately rejected it. There were a lot of good stories submitted that year. I highly recommend you read Sword & Sorceress 33.

So I planned to publish the story here on my website in November of 2018. Except Ms. Waters e-mailed me and asked if the story was still available. She wanted to reconsider it for Sword & Sorceress 34, which would be the last volume in the long running series. Ultimately, she rejected it again.

I'm finally to the place where I can officially publish this story. It's live on Amazon, and I'll post links on The Justice Thalia Stories tab when they're active.

It'll remain at $0.99 until August 15th.

I hope you all like this little look at a character who has influenced quite a bit of the plot of the Justice series. The next Justice book A Twist of Love will be coming to you next month. And one last sample chapter will be posted here next week.
