Sun, Beach, and Writing

I'd hoped to get Analyze Me and Demons Run at Halloween finished before I left for Boise last Wednesday. Unfortunately, that did not happen. However, I might have Analyze Me finished before I go to bed tonight. *fingers crossed*

I'm currently at a week long writers' retreat on the Oregon Coast. Lovely scenery, but my roommates have been going to bed at sundown, which in turn, makes me sleepy. Of course, it may have more to do with the three-hour time difference. LOL

Anyway, I plan to have a sample posted next Wednesday for the new series I'm working on, which will eventually be my next Kickstarter campaign. To prevent any delays in delivery, I will write all four books before the campaign, but I want y'all to have a taste before then.

Back to Writing Again

After five days of transferring files to my new laptop, I have everything I need to get back to writing. There were more than a few hiccups along the way, and there's still some apps I need to install. However, the only things left are my entertainment files, music, movies, books, etc.

But the big thing is finishing the three short stories I meant to complete last week before the old laptop started acting up. For those who have been checking on a daily basis, I haven't set up the preorder for Too Many Fish in the Sea (Justice Thalia #5) since I have not finished it yet.

Spells and Sleuths, the first of the rewritten Millersburg Magick Mysteries, is done, but it won't be released to the general public until the Kickstarter backers get their copies. And that won't be until I finish Analyze Me and Demons Run at Halloween. It's easier, and fewer headaches for both me and the backers, to send out everything at the same time.

And I do have a hard deadline to get everything finished. I considered retreating to one of our local Starbucks (yes, the second independent store has opened in our town) in the mornings. However, smoke from the Canadian wildfires has flooded the area again, which makes going outdoors darn uncomfortable.

*sigh* Just when I start to feel comfortable going out in public again...

All Physical Packages Shipped!

It took me nearly a month, but all the books and goodies from the Soccer Moms of the Apocalypse have been shipped! I can see my fireplace again!

What's left?

I've got digital stretch rewards to finish:

- The Spells and Sleuths paperback interior has been delivered by my formatter, so one last proof on that before uploading the ebook

- The audiobook for Apocalypse, Not Now! has been delivered by my narrator, so proof that

- Finish writing Analyze Me and record the audiobook

- Finish writing Demons Run at Halloween and record the audiobook

And I need to finish all this before I head west for a writers' retreat in July.

I think I can get it all done. I hope I can get it all done. I want to start on a new project for Camp NaNo!
