The countdown 'til Sunday has begun at our house. That's when we're heading to the local cineplex to catch Harry Potter and the Deathly Halllows, Part 2.
J.K. Rowling and her characters have been a defining mark in GK's life. (For those new to my blogs, GK is my soon-to-be eleven-year-old Genius Kid.) Harry Potter and the Sorceror's Stone was the first 'big kid' book we read together. In fact, me reading the series aloud was a nightly ritual for the whole family for several years.
And it seems that the end of the movie series, marks the passage of GK from childhood to teen years. Just as it marks the entry of the character and the actor who's played him the last eleven years into adulthood.
It's bittersweet from a mom's perspective.
